ACBC Food Shelf, which helps area families with emergency food and clothing needs, is supported by Zion members through four “ingatherings” held at Zion each year. To help collect, box, weigh and deliver the food, contact zion@zionanoka.org, 763-421-4656.
Bereavement Care is given for one full year after the death of a loved one. Family members are also invited to a Service of Remembrance and dinner in November. To learn more, contact cathy.smith@zionanoka.org, 763-506-8105.
Blood Donors can “give the gift of life” through the Red Cross Bloodmobile held at Zion 3-4 times each year. Help is also needed to staff the blood drives. For information, contact cathy.smith@zionanoka.org, 763-506-8105.
Family Table provides a hot meal and warm companionship to area hungry and lonely people on the first Saturday of every month. For information, contact zion@zionanoka.org, 763-421-4656.
Funeral Lunch volunteers set tables, serve lunch and clean up the dining room and kitchen for Zion funerals. Contact zion@zionanoka.org, 763-506-8114.
Habitat for Humanity involves volunteers in home construction, usually in the month of June. For information, contact zion@zionanoka.org, 763-421-4656.
Meals on Wheels drivers deliver a hot meal and a mid-day greeting to homebound people in the community once every six weeks. For information, contact zion@zionanoka.org, 763-421-4656.
Prayer Chain participants receive requests for prayer support, pray, and then pass on the request to the next “link” in the chain. For information, contact ann.bergeron@zionanoka.org, 763-506-8126.
