Come Help Us Build A House!

This summer Zion Lutheran Church is once again partnering with Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity and Thrivent Builds to help construct a new handicap-accessible house in Maple Grove. As we know from previous years, Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity has a vision of the Twin Cities as a region where hard-working families can own homes in healthy neighborhoods with access to jobs, transportation and quality schools. Zion has been a part of this vision every year since 1994 by providing funding, construction volunteers, food volunteers and our prayers. We will be looking for construction and food volunteers again this year to help support this work week, June 18 -22. The house will be located at 6405 Eagle Lake Dr. in Maple Grove which is about 20 minutes south of Anoka and just west of Hwy 169.

Sign-up sheets will be located at the front desk at church beginning in early May and Sylvan Flaten and Bill Norquist will be available most Sundays in May and June to answer any questions you may have. No experience is necessary to volunteer, but volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and one adult must accompany 16 to 18 year olds. We look forward to working with you! Bill Norquist 763-421-1630; Sylvan Flaten 763-421-6607.
