Milestones of Service Celebrated
Susie Leonard, at the end of the 2016-17 school year, celebrated five years of working with 3 and 4 year old children. Mrs. Leonard has also been part of the Lunch Bunch program for the last several years. When Dental Health Week occurs each February, she is our “go to” professional as she puts on her Dental Hygiene hat and shares with all the Pre-K students how to properly care for their teeth and how to eat healthy foods.
Candy Ree, Pre-K Office Administrator, at the end of the 2016-17 school year celebrated ten years at Zion Pre-K. Candy keeps staff organized and assists parents with any financial needs they may have.
Carolyn Beck, at the end of the 2016-17 school year, celebrated a huge milestone of 30 years at Zion Pre-K. Mrs. Beck has come full circle as she now has students whose parents were in her preschool class years ago. Patience is a gift she continues to share with the children as they experience their first years of formal education.
Celebrating 25 years of service at the end of the 2017-18 school year are Dawn Kyle and Hope Luedtke.
Dawn Kyle has always been with the youngest preschool class that is offered, the one day a week “young” 3’s. During the last several years she’s also been part of the Lunch Bunch crew. It is very evident that she is wonderful with three year olds but she offers just as much to their parents as she does for the students she teaches.
Hope Luedtke has welcomed hundreds of families to Zion Pre-K and has worked with many talented teachers. Over the years she has seen many changes to the program and to the industry of early childhood such as building renovations and accreditations. When Mrs. Luedtke started at Zion her youngest daughter participated in the program. Now Mrs. Luedtke has had the privilege of observing her grandsons enjoy their preschool days at Zion.
Betty Belschner retired from a regular schedule of teaching at Zion Pre-K many years ago but has remained on the substitute list ever since. Mrs. Belschner celebrates over 40 years with Zion Pre-K and whenever she helps out, she just picks up where she left off!
Susie, Candy, Carolyn, Dawn, Hope and Betty collectively celebrate over 135 years with Zion Pre-K! The number of children’s lives they have touched, however, are too many to count! THANK YOU for your care of these little ones!
