Our spring small group study is titled Lessons from Dietrich Bonhoeffer in a House Divided and a World on Fire, and it is a curriculum created by Dr. Lori Brandt Hale from Augsburg University. (Lori was also our presenter at our March 8, 2026 Adult Faith Forum.) This six-week study not only takes us deeper into the story of Bonhoeffer’s life, work, and death; it also invites us to grapple with a number of his writings from across the breadth of his career. Sessions are held in the Legacy Room Monday at 1 p.m., Tuesday at 9 a.m., Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Below is the schedule for May.

  • Week of May 3: Session 4 – Faith is Worldly: Bonhoeffer and “This-Worldliness”
  • Week of May 10: Session 5 – Taking a Stand: “Is this a Bonhoeffer moment?”: Wrong Question
  • Week of May 17: Session 6 – Reading Bonhoeffer Today
