Small Group Study – Dialogues On: Race

This fall we begin a seven-week small group study entitled: Dialogues On: Race. It’s not news to anyone that we are living in a time of conflict, division and disagreement. In politics, in religion, in education, in relationships, communities and churches, we are becoming people who can’t seem to find our way out of the “us vs. them” pit of divisiveness. What we can do is learn from others and listen. And we will do that in our small groups, where we will covenant with one another to listen and respect, but also open our minds to the reality of the world we share. We would like to begin this small study the week of September 21. We have different options for you. Mondays at 1 p.m. we will meet in person at Zion with no more than 10 people. We will also have the study available at that time via Zoom for no more than 10 people. Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. will be an in-person study at Zion, Wednesdays at 10 a.m. we will meet in person at Zion with no more than 10 people as well as via Zoom with 10 people. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom only with 15 participants. Thursdays at 1 p.m. via Zoom only (led by Pastor Jim Barsch and his daughter Pastor Amie Odahl.) We ask that you call the church office 763-421-4656, come in during office hours M-Th 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Fri 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or email the church if you would like to sign up. You will need to give us an email address in order to sign up with Zoom. Books are on sale at the church. You can come in during office hours or call/email and we can set the book out for you. The cost is $10 for each book. More information will be in the Life Together bulletin insert and E-updates.
