A Peace of My Mind is a multimedia arts project created by award-winning photographer John Noltner that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides and encourage dialogue around important issues. Through exhibits, workshops, lectures, on-site studios, and distance learning, A Peace of My Mind leads transformative experiences that help a polarized world rediscover the common humanity that connects us.

During the month of May, 2025, a gallery of 12 of John’s photos were displayed at Zion. Each of these photos contains a quote from the pictured individual. A few years ago John attended a sober powpow at the Fond du Lac Reservation just south of Duluth. This celebration of recovery, rooted in tradition and culture, provided an opportunity for John to ask,”What has helped you move toward healing?” Some of the photos from this experience were included in the gallery.
